The India-AI Impact Summit 2026 is creating a major global impact on AI development. According to various media reports, at the AI Summit, Prime Minister Narendra Modi held a series of bilateral meetings with world leaders.
On February 19, 2026, PM Modi and the crown prince of Abu Dhabi discussed the future of AI during the India AI Impact Summit in New Delhi.

During the event, Prime Minister Modi discussed exploring AI to boost social and economic transformation. As a part of the existing India-EU FTA negotiations, a commitment to implement them early was made. They also made a deal for strengthening global safety and protection against terrorism.
Prime Minister Modi and Swiss President Guy Parmelin also focused on developing other key areas. These included:
Collaboration in the economic sectors
Developing partnerships around investment, trade, and technology
Bringing future-ready partnerships in AI innovation.
During the AI Summit, PM Modi's address was interpreted using an AI-enabled sign-language interpreter. This was displayed as a backdrop, highlighting the technology's practical applications.
The Prime Minister also met French President Emmanuel Macron, Dutch Prime Minister Mark Rutte, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, and Swiss President Guy Parmelin. Kyriakos Mitsotakis discussed a strategic collaboration between India and Greece.
Keeping in mind the existing relations between India and the UAE, future avenues for enhancing cooperation in Artificial Intelligence were also discussed. Looking forward, “Recalling the historical ties that underpin India-UAE ties, both leaders discussed bilateral cooperation and expressed satisfaction at the progress achieved in various fields,” the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) explained. The leaders also discussed ways to enhance AI cooperation.
