The meeting was held at Qasr Al Shati Palace. During the talks, the leaders discussed the economy, trade, investment and modern technology. Artificial intelligence was an important topic. Both sides agreed that new technology plays a big role in building strong economies.
Sheikh Mohamed spoke about the importance of using artificial intelligence in daily life and business. He said modern technology helps countries grow and compete at the global level. The Swiss president shared the same view. He said Switzerland wants to work closely with the UAE in the field of AI and advanced technology.
The leaders also discussed the AI Impact Summit series. The worldwide events are scheduled to occur in India during 2026 Geneva in 2027 and the UAE in 2028. The events will create a platform for international dialogue about artificial intelligence and its upcoming developments. The discussions showed a shared focus on technology leadership and responsible use of AI.
Economic cooperation was another key part of the meeting. Both sides agreed to strengthen trade ties. They announced plans to set up a joint economic committee. This committee will help improve cooperation between the UAE Ministry of Foreign Trade and Switzerland’s economic department. The goal is to support businesses and encourage investment.
Water cooperation was also discussed. A letter of intent was signed to work together on water related issues. Water security remains important for sustainable growth. The agreement shows a shared effort to protect natural resources.

Senior UAE officials attended the meeting. These included Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, and Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohamed, Deputy Chairman of the Presidential Court for Special Affairs. Their presence showed the importance of the talks.
