Aster DM Healthcare has officially announced an AED 1 billion expansion plan in the UAE at the World Health Expo 2026. The project includes the construction of two new multi-specialty hospitals and a major expansion of the existing Al Qusais facility in Dubai.
The plan is expected to create over 1,000 new healthcare jobs within the next three years. This project also supports the Dubai Economic Agenda (D33), making the city a global leader in healthcare.
The expansion focuses on providing better medical care to local neighborhoods. Aster will open a new Medcare hospital in Dubai Studio City and an Aster hospital in Discovery Gardens, which are poised to add 250 more beds to the company's network. The Aster Hospital in Al Qusais is also getting an AED 300 million upgrade to add 122 beds and create a top-tier center for cancer treatment.
According to a report by Gulf News, Alisha Moopen, Managing Director and Group CEO of Aster DM Healthcare, said: "Our Dh1 billion pipeline is not only about adding beds or infrastructure; it is about enabling world-class care pathways locally, supported by technology, specialized talent and a connected patient experience."
The expansion will help 560,000 more patients every year. This means residents will not have to travel far for complicated treatments like surgery or oncology.
Aster is using 18 robotic tools and AI to help patients recover. The company reportedly needs 700 people for the new hospitals, 150 for 50 new pharmacies, and 150 people for 10 new clinics. It is looking for surgeons, nurses, pharmacists, and office staff.
