The UAE government recently unveiled a new AI chipset, according to recent reports. Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior, Lt. Gen. Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, claims that this is the world's largest AI (Artificial Intelligence) chip. He also believes this could bring the UAE to the forefront of other AI leaders.

At the World Governments Summit in Dubai on February 05, 2026, Lt. Gen Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan introduced a groundbreaking technology. During a session, he announced about creating a milestone in the nation's AI goals.
This revolutionary chip was co-developed by Abu Dhabi-based technology holding group G42 and Cerebras Systems ( a leader in accelerating generative AI). The chip will be used for the 5-gigawatt UAE-US AI campus in Abu Dhabi. This campus is one of G42's ambitious projects. Sheikh Saif believes that the UAE will allow 40% of the global population to use AI. In support of this, he also said, “This chip is of great importance.”
Peng Xiao, CEO of G42 group, also demonstrated the massive semiconductor during the event. He showcased the semiconductor's features to the attendees, explaining its transformative and advanced potential for AI computing.

Xiao further explains how G42's infrastructure project is progressing fast. Last May, during US President Donald Trump's visit to the UAE, the company announced the 5-gigawatt AI campus. Xiao described the campus as "the largest AI factory buildup programme outside the United States".
The transformation has been dramatic. "Last year, in June, we chose the land. This was an empty piece of desert. And today, this photo was from just two days ago. We are already on the way to deliver the first 200 megawatts of the state-of-the-art AI data centre," Xiao said. Additionally, the company has also created extensive global connectivity. All thanks to their advanced undersea cable networks that connect the UAE to markets west and east.
