Apple has sent out special invitations for an ‘Apple Experience’ event in Los Angeles, happening from January 27 to 29. The event has created excitement among tech fans who believe Apple might announce new MacBook Pro models during this time.
The company invited selected content creators to the Los Angeles event. Creator Petr Mara shared his invitation on Instagram on January 7, though the post only recently gained widespread attention on social media. Mara was also invited to a similar Apple event in September to try out the iPhone 17 Pro models.
The timing of this event is interesting because Apple just announced its Creator Studio bundle last week. This package of creative apps, including Final Cut Pro, Logic Pro, and Pixelmator Pro, will launch on Wednesday, January 28, for $12.99 per month. Since the event happens at the same time and the bundle includes professional Mac software, many believe Apple will use this opportunity to release new MacBook Pro computers.
Tech experts predict Apple will introduce MacBook Pro models with M5 Pro and M5 Max chips. These would be upgraded versions of the basic 14-inch MacBook Pro that Apple released in October with the standard M5 chip. The October update brought faster storage and better performance, but the higher-end professional models did not receive updates at that time.
Beyond the new chips, the upcoming MacBook Pro models are expected to have faster storage technology called PCIe 5.0. According to Apple, this technology can read and write data up to twice as fast as the previous version. This would be especially helpful for video editors, photographers, and other creative professionals who work with large files.
Apple typically holds major product launch events throughout the year, but the company rarely announces dates far ahead of time. Based on Apple's pattern, a spring event usually happens in March or April. However, some experts believe this January event might be when Apple chooses to reveal its new professional laptops.
The company has not officially confirmed whether new MacBook models will be announced at the Los Angeles event. Apple usually keeps product launches secret until the actual announcement day.
